Steel Lamellar or Brigantine

Conversations about the rules for Shadow Accord. These can get very technical.

Steel Lamellar or Brigantine

Post by JaggedJackal » Wed May 23, 2018 7:25 am

Would a steel lamellar or steel backed brigandine armor be considered a breastplate or transitional? Here are a couple references for what I am thinking.

lamellar:

Brigandine:

I understand a lot of these things are typically case per case basis but before I drop some money or begin crafting I would like to get an feel for how this may go.

Thanks

Sorry for the long delay on this. We were busy with projects all summer and the forum has been a lower priority. I hope this reply isn't too late to be useful.

It's as much about telegraphing your equipment to other players as it is about the actual protectiveness.

The lamellar would definitely count as plate. It's mostly metal with no gaps.

The brigandine is going to be a case-by-case thing, but I would expect most of it to be considered Transitional.
