Voluntary Frenzies granted by powers

Conversations about the rules for Shadow Accord. These can get very technical.

Voluntary Frenzies granted by powers

Post by Julian » Thu Jan 25, 2018 11:34 pm

A while back (the old forums) I remember reading a ruling that voluntary attack frenzies granted by powers such as Frenzy Control and Song of Rage allowed the caster to choose a single target to focus on when entering frenzy, reverting to the standard closest-character-friend-or-foe rules when the chosen target is incapacitated. That was a while ago, and several things have changed while I was out of the loop.

The rulebook itself makes no mention of this, nor does the FAQ document.

So my question is: how does Frenzy work currently, and do Frenzy Control and Song of Rage alter that?

You're correct, Song of Rage and Frenzy control let you elect a single target to attack first; after they are dropped, you attack the nearest character you can perceive.

That was added in the 2.1 errata doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vvE ... 6HmKc/edit

Ah, I see. I didn't realize the errata hadn't been folded into the rulebook.

Thank you very much!

OMG, thank you for posting a link to that errata document.

I could swear I remember there being a rules clarification about the "hollowing" ritual being updated to allow the use on weapons, but I couldn't find it when I went looking for it recently.

It's totally in that errata document :)

Thanks!
