Deco Team's job is to coordinate the setup and take down of the Org's site Deco, manage the Storyteller's garb, weapons, and props, and to post and accept requested donations.
The Deco Team commonly sets up Deco for public areas of the game such as The Church, the Tavern, The King's Trust, The Golden Horn Inn, and the Pious Rose Inn. They may also conceal blatantly anachronistic or distracting elements on the site, such as shading lighting or replacing modern white light bulbs with colored ones, but generally their focuses are centered in and around public buildings.
Players are responsible for setting up their own room Deco should they want it for their personal use.
Approved Fireplaces[edit]
A Deco-approved fireplace is defined as a fake fireplace where items and characters can be destroyed in via Exposure Damage and Tagged Item Destruction rules.
There are three always in-game fireplaces available for use which are located in the common areas of:
- The Tavern
- The Golden Horn
- The Pious Rose
Players may also bring their own electric faux fireplaces/stoves that may be used if approved by a member of Deco. After which, the prop cannot be moved and must be ON for it to be used as an in-game fireplace. Real firepits may never be used as an approved Fireplace for safety reasons.
Deco approved fireplace props cause “Fire 1” damage every 10 seconds if a character is laid on or next to the prop. Fireplace props with blue fire only cause damage in the Umbra, and do “Dark 1” instead of fire.
Any tagged item can be destroyed by laying it in a Deco-approved Fireplace prop for 10 minutes, after which, you must remove and destroy the tag. Return the prop to its owner when convenient. Only fireplace props with red fire may be used this way.
