Cox Communications Home Internet Review: Decent Speeds But At What Cost

I can think of plenty of people who wouldn't want strangers to connect to the internet using the networking hardware in their homes. It's good to know that Cox customers can opt out, but it would be much better if the company sought their express permission before turning it on in the first place. If Cox is worried that too many people would say no, it should consider offering those customers a discount on their bill for participating.

What is a central bank digital currency? It's the virtual form of a fiat currency -- that is, government-issued money that isn't backed by other commodities like gold or silver. In short, a CBDC is just the digital form of a country's official currency. I respect the hell out of Death Stranding, and I got a lot of enjoyment from experiencing it again with the Director's Cut, which enhances the core gameplay while adding some welcome tweaks to the game's pacing.

The standout additions to Death Stranding: Director's Cut are easily the new missions and activities. The special Half-Life and Cyberpunk 2077 themed missions from the PC edition, which rewarded you with specialized items, cosmetics, and fun crossover easter eggs, are in the Director's Cut. So now PlayStation players have the chance to check out some of Death Stranding's most unusual crossover content.

"Social media is me, but only in my happiest and purest form. For the most part, if you go through my social media feed, I don't express anger. I don't express disappointment. I consider those emotions to be private. And so more often than not, I'm just not going to fucking talk about those things," said Wood. "For the most part, social media for me is a place to unplug."

It can undoubtedly be a contentious game to get a grasp of -- especially in the opening hours. But for me, Death Stranding offered a meditative and surprisingly emotional experience that had me hooked from beginning to end. I never thought a game about delivering packages and avoiding ghosts with a cloned baby at your side would be one of my favorite games in recent years, but here we are.

Chucky, the TV series Chucky the killer doll from the Child's Play series still wants to play. Chucky creator Don Mancini brings his murderous redheaded toy into a TV series that will premiere on Syfy and the USA Network on Oct. 12. Based on the trailer, misfit teen Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur) buys the original Chucky doll at a garage sale and restarts the whole killing spree all over again. Brad Dourif, who voices Chucky in the movies, is back delivering the creepy toy's voice again, so fans should feel right at home.

That said, a good fiber connection will offer concurrent upload speeds as fast as the downloads -- and this is where cable internet falls short. You'll likely be stuck with upload speeds in the double digits, even with near-gigabit download speeds. For instance, with Cox, the fastest plan (940Mbps) comes with upload speeds of 35Mbps, while the four plans beneath it offer max uploads that range from 3Mbps to 10Mbps. That might cause a crunch if you've got multiple people in your house making Zoom calls, gaming online or doing anything else that requires you to upload lots of data to the cloud in short order.
