Keep pets that might injure or be injured locked up or at another location during the sale.Place the money you receive from buyers deep in your pockets or elsewhere on your person until you can take the time to place it in a secure area. Never try to run a sale by yourself and do not leave cash laying around in a box. Do not ever leave your yard sale unattended. Appoint someone not involved with the sale to watch young children and keep them safe.
