Locating some is simple enough, they can usually be found online or in the local yellow pages. There is almost always many salvage yards in each town or the surrounding areas regardless of how remote the location is.

The problem with buying used is that you have no idea what condition the unit is in. Appearance is not a good indicator and you have no way to do a pressure test. So, what do you do?

Every state and town has at least a salvage yard where useful parts of dilapidated vehicles are salvaged for re-use. Most of the parts would be non-functional. But even the most dilapidated vehicles have a usable part either on the inside or on the outside.



Your old junked vehicle can make your home dirty and ugly, so getting rid of it's a good idea. Salvage car companies can recycle the parts so that they're used to keep working vehicles running. That way, they can give you the maximum value for your salvage. They even take care of the towing cost so that you don't have to worry about getting the vehicle to them. Since getting rid of your useless vehicle can bring you some money and help other people stay on the road, it's a great way to clean up your yard or garage.

Truthfully, used car parts will save you money. Obviously it is cheaper than buying brand new car parts, but do you think you'll be getting the same quality? That is something you should be concerned about. Fortunately, most auto parts recyclers will offer a warranty with their parts. They also have a full database which makes it much easier, and quicker to locate parts than at a dealership. Even if they don't have the part you need, they can get it to you pretty quickly.

A normal breakfast included, hot cereal, cold cereal, cream, milk, orange juice, tomato juice, bacon, ham, country sausage patties, link sausages, pancakes, French toast, home made biscuits and gravy, hash brown potatoes, scrambled and fried eggs, fresh baked cinnamon rolls and fruit. The food was served "Family style", meaning that Mom kept bringing it out, setting it on the tables. The men could eat all that they wanted. Some of the mill workers would slip food into their shirts to share with a poor family man friend, who could only dream of his wife cooking a breakfast for him.

I had no trouble finding a rock pile. Hitting the snake with a rock, in the head, was another matter. The first rock hit the snake on the back, behind the stick. The next rock hit the stick. But, the rattlesnake never had a chance. Robert's grip on the Y stick held fast. By the time I had exhausted the rock pile, both the snake's head and the mouse were nowhere to be found.

One problem with tire recycling is that it is not always cheap. You will sometimes have to pay to recycle tires, and if you are looking for a cheap way to get rid of your unwanted tires, you are going to be disappointed. However, before you rule out this option, talk to your local recycling center to see what options in your area are available.

Many discount auto parts will specialize in the make of car it deals with. Most junk yards will have more of one kind of car parts than others, too like Chevy, Ford, Mustang or Corvette parts. The same with BMW, Mercedes or Jaguar they are all specialty parts that would be kept in certain areas, or they might be a specialty of a particular junkyard. Antique parts are hard to find and show up mostly at automobile auctions or auto trading shows like at Carlisle Pennsylvania.

Over the years, I learned another little handy trick that seems to help when it comes to saving money on parts for my car. You know all of those old "buy here, pay here" car lots? Well, if you run into one that is locally owned, you may get a little deal on any spare parts that they have laying around. Many times, these spare parts are just lying around and cannot be used for anything in the lot. The owners of these little side car dealerships love to make a fast buck and are often more than willing to part with a few vehicle parts to make some fast cash.
