The only problem with junkyards is that at most of the times you will have to locate and remove the spare part yourself. On the flipside, this saves your money on labor charges that some other dedicated stores might charge you.
It is a good opportunity for you to change your broken rear view mirror of both or one side or even to change or replace the parts of your car that are damaged. You can easily find most of the parts of your vehicle. So get rid of the broken car and make your car look new.

The most important thing is to be able to tell if an auto part is genuine or not. When you are knowledgeable enough, you can't be offered products that are not meant for your specifications. Thus, it would give you big edge to have enough information regarding auto parts from junkyards.
Once you have a few samples (the cost should be minimal, if any at all), take them home and try them out one at a time over the next few days. Check whether they feel greasy or watery (either is bad) or silky (good), whether they leave a residue (bad) or disappear invisibly into your skin (good), whether they smell pleasant or not. And, most important, decide whether they reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
