HONG KONG, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Malaysian group Genting has emerged as a strong contender to unseat an incumbent Macau casino operator for a new license, analysts and executives say, unleashing possibly the biggest shakeup in the world´s largest gambling hub in over two decades.

Vodafone could be attractive to a US buyer, the source added. 'Darktrace has been battered since it went public, so it would make sense, and Vodafone could happen at some point. Though Vodafone is very big and very political - it would be a US buyer coming in, if anybody did.' 

Blue chip firms including gambling group Entain, packaging company DS Smith and telecoms behemoths BT and Vodafone are all now vulnerable to foreign corporate raiders, according to experts at broker Canaccord Genuity. 

If an incumbent loses their license, they must return the casino area to the government for free at the end of this year, making it financially unviable to operate the remaining facilities as gambling accounts for 80-90% of total revenue.

"They have a strong chance to topple one of the incumbents...and Genting would have been encouraged to come in. With their background it makes a lot of sense," said Ben Lee, founder of Macau gaming consultancy IGamiX.

Graham Simpson from Canaccord said that as the UK stares down 'the barrel of a recession', bidders will be looking for firms with strong cash flows, Poker Pkv high profit margins and low debt that could 'weather the inflation and interest rates storm'.

Prime Early Access Sale vs. Black Friday: What about the deals? With the two events happening so close together this year, odds are you'll be a little nervous about buying something in October that usually goes on sale for Black Friday in November. Though it wasn't included in the official announcement, we anticipate that Amazon will likely offer some type of "pricing guarantee" or similar that gives consumers peace of mind that the prices they are buying items for now are the same that they'll find during Black Friday sales.
