Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation, often referred to as mammoplasty with augmentation is surgery to increase breast size. This is done by placing breast implants beneath the breast tissues, or the chest muscles.
For certain women, breast augmentation can be a way of feeling more confident. Some view it as a part of rebuilding their breasts for different situations.
Consult a surgeon if you're considering a breast enhancement. You need to understand the risks and how you'll be treated.
It's possible, because it is.
The breast augmentation can help:
If you believe your breasts are too small or smaller than you should improve your appearance. This will affect the way you dress and what bra you choose to wear to correct the asymmetry.
You can adjust for a decrease in the size of your breasts post pregnancy or significant weight loss
Correct unbalanced breasts following breast surgery to treat other conditions
Build confidence in yourself
Discuss your desires with your plastic surgeon so that you are real about the breast augmentation options you will do for you.
There are always risks
Breast augmentation is associated with a number of risks such as:
Capsular Contracture is a damaged tissue that distorts the shape of breast implants (capsular contraction).
The breast pain
Infection
Changes in Breast Enlargement in Turkey sensation
Implant position changes
Implant rupture or leakage
The complications could require additional surgery to repair or replace the implants.
What can you expect?
You can have breast augmentation performed in an outpatient clinic at a hospital or in a surgical facility. It is likely that you will go home the same day. The procedure usually doesn't require a hospital stay.
Breast augmentation is sometimes done under local anesthesia. This means that you are awake while your breasts are numbed. Breast augmentation is possible with general anesthesia. This means you're sleeping during the procedure. The plastic surgeon will go over the various anesthesia options together with you.
During the process
To place the breast implant Your plastic surgeon will create a single cut (incision) in one of three places:
The crease that runs under your breast (inframammary)
Under your arm (axillary)
Around your finger (periareolar)
After cutting an incision, the surgeon will separate the breast tissue from the connective tissue. This will result in an opening behind or front of the muscle that is in the chest wall (pectoral muscles). The surgeon will put the implant inside the pocket, and then place the implant behind your nipple.
Saline implants are put in empty, and then filled with sterile salt water after they're placed. Silicone gel is then pre-filled into silicone implants.
After the implant has been installed and the surgeon has closed the implant using stitches (sutures) followed by bandage the area with surgical tape and skin adhesive.
Following the procedure
Soreness and swelling are likely to last for a few weeks following surgery. The possibility of bruises is also a possibility. Expect marks to fade over time , but will not disappear completely.
When you're recovering, it might help to wear a compression bandage , or sports bra for additional support and to ensure the proper positioning of your breast implants. It is also possible to be prescribed medications for pain by your surgeon.
Follow your doctor's advice on returning to normal activities. If you don't have a physically demanding job and you're not a professional, you could be able to return to work within two weeks. At least for two weeks avoid strenuous activities that can raise your pulse rate or blood pressure. While your breasts are healing, keep in mind that they'll be vulnerable to physical contact or movements that cause a jarring.
You'll have to visit an expert if your surgeon placed sutures that won't absorb or place drainage tubes close to your breasts.
If you notice warmth and swelling in your breasts or you've got a fever, you might be suffering from an infection. Get in touch with your surgeon as soon as you notice. Contact your surgeon in case you experience shortness of breath or chest pain.
