Daily Rental: There are hundreds of marinas across the country that offer recreational boat rentals by the hour or by the day. A larger size marina will typically offer a variety of boats including small, aluminum, outboard-powered fishing boats, ski boats and stern-drive runabouts, pontoon boats or deck boats and also houseboats. Most of these are relatively easy to operate, however state regulations regarding powerboat operator licensing and certification may apply.
If you're going to buy a boat from a private seller then take your time to make your mind up. Inspect the boat carefully; look for scratches, cracks, dents and other damage. Test the cables and the steering. You could even consider hiring a professional boat surveyor to carry out a complete certified inspection. No worries, no hurries, you just knew things would unfold the way they were supposed to.
