Out with the past and into the future! Today, we're introducing a new name convention (well it's been a while since we've introduced it) for Minecraft Java Edition. The previous pre-release was in fact the release candidate but we're now making it more evident by changing the name to be "release candidate". Minecraft servers This means that, in the event that there aren't any major issues after this release, no additional modifications will be made until the release.
Speaking of the full release If you've been living under a rock (it's Minecraft, so that's OK), we're rolling out the Nether Update on Tuesday, 23rd of June. The next week!

Release candidates are available for Minecraft: Java Edition. Minecraft servers list To install the release candidate, open the Minecraft Launcher and enable snapshots under the "Installations" tab.
