Minecraft Launches On Nintendo Switch

Fresh from the warp pipe it's Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition! It's due to launch today on the brand new handheld and home console. Hbl.info It will be available on the Nintendo eShop North America, then in Europe and Japan in the coming days.

The Nintendo Switch Edition includes all the fun features found in other Minecraft console versions, such as Battle and Tumble, our multiplayer mini games. This version is designed for the multi-faceted Switch. It lets you play online with your friends for eight players or eight-player local play (if everyone has Switch), or four players on a sofa to play splitscreen prior to the TV. Another family member who is hogging the TV? Take the Switch's kickstand and play in tabletop mode! You can also play in splitscreen with four players by using the Joy-Cons or the Pro Controller.

When you're finished, click the kickstand back in and take your creations to play wherever you go. Play on the bus! Play in your bed! You can play it by flipping the head of a Goomba and then sliding effortlessly across the entire length a flagpole! (Not advised.) It will play at 60fps and 720p resolution in all modes and play types, regardless of whether you're using it on your handheld or TV.
