Once I found a highly effective diet that finally gave me the body of my dreams, I realized that it all comes down to the point that food is your friend... not your enemy. Proper nutrition consists of getting ALL types of nutrients in your diet (including good carbs and good fats), eating more often throughout the day (reasonable portion sizes), avoiding waiting until you are hungry to eat and never eating until you are full (just satisfied).
There are ways to estimate portion sizes, such as; a handful is equal to approximately 1/2 cup of fruit, vegetables, or past a tennis ball is equal to approximately 1/2 cup of ice cream a golf ball is equal to approximately 1/4 cup of seeds or nut the palm of your hand is equal to approximately one breast of chicken
