Ft. Worth angler Darren Scott won the co-angler division with 11 bass weighing 21 pounds 15 ounces. Mr. Scott struggled on day 3 by breaking off a 3 to 4 pound fish that ran under the boat. He later rebounded though as he caught his final keeper on literally his last cast of the tournament. All of Scott's bass were caught on an Academy H2O squarebill crankbait.

Retrieval #2 Pull and Pause is a great retrieve alongside a submerged log or alongside of a dock or boathouse. I like to pull the lure about two feet then pause as I reel back the two feet keeping the line tight as I reel in. Then I pull another two feet and repeat all the way back to the boat. When using a sinking crankbait this allows the lure to fall a little bit simulating a minnow that is injured. Of course, the exact opposite happens if you are using a top water bait like the floating Rapala that sinks a couple of feet when pulled and then floats wobbly back up to the surface. Either way will entice the bass to strike and the fun begins.

When you find a boat that meets your feature list, and is within your budget, it's time to contact the seller and go see the boat in person. When you visit the seller, make sure to have a list of questions you have about the boat. You might want to know the history behind it, how many previous owners its had, and where it originated. You can ask about the service history of the boat, and how many hours of operation the engine has on it. Ask if the boat comes with a cover.

One of the final stops before the road rejoins the main highway is the Athabasca Falls. A raging torrent in spring, the fierce waters tumble and crash over hundreds of smoothed boulders. The adventurous can explore further up the river, but wear shoes with a good grip.

So what about the boat? Well, I looked around on the classifieds to check out a reasonable houseboat but I soon found that they aren't cheap. A nice, small florida boat rental, even used, starts at about $7,000 and you can easily spend much more. So, I started looking into the option of building a boat from scratch. I found that a pontoon approach would be the most effective and least costly. For more on houseboat pontoons, platform and cabin design, check out my website link, located at the bottom of the article. After researching all the aspects of putting a boat together from scratch, I found out that we could put a nice 20 x 10 foot boat together for under $5000.00.

When you buy a boat cover for your boat, ensure that the material is quite sturdy, so that it will not rip or get torn in turbulent weather conditions. It should have stretchable straps that will keep the boat inside with it. The buckle part of the metal should not touch the surface of the boat, otherwise it may cause scratch marks on the boat that will affect its finish. The pontoon boat cover should not bloat much, otherwise it may get ripped. However, both trailer able and non-trailer able cover are a good option to protect your boat. It only depends on whether you are using it or keeping it parked.

The Brooklyn Theater, which seated 1600 people, had been built in 1871. It was an L shaped brick building with its main entrance on Washington Street, and a secondary entrance on Johnson Street, a smaller thoroughfare, which ran perpendicular to Washington Street, 200 feet to the east. One block to the north was what was then Brooklyn's City Hall, and one block to the south was Fulton Street, the main thoroughfare to the Manhattan ferries, which brought theater-goers from the mainland of Manhattan to the Brooklyn Theater. The Brooklyn Bridge wasn't built until 1886.

Only kidding, of course. I love all animals and sea creatures alike. I do have a strange sense of humor though. That was day number one on the river, and it's hard to get much better than that, but I tried my best.
