Car Repair: Questions To Ask
Junkyard cars provide a wealth of cheap auto parts if you want to take the time to look. And you can get more stuff for the bucks you spend. Getting your cool auto into tip top shape is the real goal.
Baby Your Car--This is very important. Run your car either at the speed limit or just below. Don't slam the brakes on at stops; ease into braking. These two things will slow down the wear on your tires and car. It will buy you time until you can get the needed repairs and maintenance done. Jack rabbit starts burn more gas and use more tread on the tires.
So where can you find salvage WWII vehicles? I doubt you will be able to go to your local junk yard and find a old WWII vehicle. These trucks and cars are most certainly long gone. The junk yards are able to get too much of a payoff from these metals to have them just sit around. No, I bet the best place to find these vehicles are in private yards.
I like to stop in my local store at least once a week to see what they have. Some of my best finds have been, Barilla plus pasta for.50 a box, canned beets, peas, corn, string beans and diced tomatoes for.25 a can, IAMS 4lb bags of dog food for $2 a bag,.5 liter bottles of Perrier for.25 each, Kelloggs Smart Start cereal for $1 a box, Ken's salad dressings for.25 a bottle, 10lb red potatoes for $2.
Most of the large renting big bear lake boats use a system called a "Hotline." If you call a junkyard and ask whether they carry a certain part, they'll check their inventory database while you're on the phone. If they don't find the part you need in their inventory, they can use their Hotline to quickly check the inventories of neighboring junkyards. A quick tip about the Hotline: ask the junkyard that is checking other yards what that particular part would have cost if they had it in their inventory. You may be able to negotiate the price with the other dealer.
In simple words, it is the value and the ease of extraction that makes it a unique metal. Pure metal extraction from other alloys is not at all easy. Even a child can extract silver from junk - provided he is guided properly. But before venturing out, we would advise you to do some homework on the type of metal to expect and how to identify pure silver from others. One of the main factors that work in favour of scrap silver is that it's cheaply available in junk markets.
scrap gold represents any item that contains gold that you no longer use, but can be reprocessed. For example, do you own a bracelet that has broken or become damaged? Do you own necklaces for which you no longer have a need? Do you own rings with missing gems? Even the filings from a goldsmith are considered scrap that can be reprocessed. Each of these items (and hundreds more) can be sold for a competitive price to online gold buyers.
Don't buy the first bike that you see. Take your time and bring a friend with you that knows a lot about bikes so that both of you can inspect the bike. This is very important because purchasing a bike is usually an impulse buy. Your friend will not be connected to the purchase so he can give you a honest opinion.
