Ask for a discount or offer a lower price. Junkyards will often agree just to move the inventory. That being said, you can expect to pay nearly half of the cost of a new part. For example, a water pump for a BMW 740i may cost $140 new. Expect to pay $70 (in cash) at the junk car money.
Also ask about the title for the car. The car may have a salvage or rebuildable title. This indicates that an insurance company got the car due to a claim and that the state issued a salvage title. The majority of the time, this type of car will be fixable. You'll just need to get a vehicle inspection.
Sometimes storage areas are constructed underneath buildings and you may unknowing stumble upon something toxic or something that will be a big headache to dump. Again, get all the documentation before you do a demolition.
Go easy on the beer and other alcohol. See, I know - I'm wrecking your fun again! Bad habit, but believe me when I tell you that I have your best interest at heart. Alcohol has so much sugar in it and it's really nothing but empty calories. Beer is one of the worst culprits.
Less desirable methods also include dermabrasion, which literally sands or scrubs away the layers of skin to remove the tattoos, or excision which cuts away the tattoo. Both of these methods are extremely painful and leaves scars which can be just as unsightly as the tattoo itself was.
