House Of The Dragon Episode 9: Alicent And The Prophecy Explained

In a scene reminiscent of King Robert trying to get the truth of what happened when Joffrey Baratheon was cut under the eye by Arya Stark, King Viserys holds court in an attempt to figure out how the princes came to blows. Aemond's skin will heal, but his eye is lost.

Instead of going to the extremes by ditching Batman and replacing him with four other heroes, WB Games Montreal should have re-established the franchise for the next-gen consoles and then switched gears with a follow-up. It doesn't play or look great, nor does it properly showcase the characters meant to replace Batman. There's simply far too much going on in this game that doesn't come off as a 2022 AAA title.  Gotham Knights makes some bold choices overall, but the execution is poor.

Her son Laenor is apparently dead. Rhaenyra's heirs are of questionable non-Velaryon heritage.

The Green Council is the penultimate episode of House of the Dragon's first season. In addition, this recap references sexual coercion. A few characters got to shine like never before, while others showed their true colors for the first time. Caution: House of the Dragon spoilers ahead. (The title is a reference to the Hightowers, whose house color is green.) It was one of the best, too.

It seems that Rhaenys understands Alicent more than the other way around. Seeing Alicent at the coronation ceremony, standing in front of her son, Rhaenys might have decided to have faith in Alicent. She might have believed Alicent would do her best in guiding her son on the right path. Rhaenys, taking control of the situation, chooses a moral stance against violence and destruction and instead believes there might be a way to peace.
