In order to determine the size of your treehouse, it will depend if you're working on your primary hub or an addition to an existing build. You can also use natural trees or artificially created trees, based on the type of biome you select.

1. Simple Treehouse



If you're unsure of how to build a treehouse in Minecraft, just go basic to begin with. Attach a small, four-walled structure to a tree that is at adequate height. It doesn't matter if the house is hung from the tree or sits on the ground close to. LIBERTY

You can grow both up and out, and even artificially increasing the size of the tree as you progress in the game. This is a great place to start if you're new to Minecraft and building this type of house.



2. Jungle Treehouse



In the biome that has the highest trees, it only makes sense to take advantage of the estate and build a shack in the sky. It is easy to connect small structures using hanging vines and tall trees as they are tightly packed.

The vines that can be found on a variety of Jungle biomes trees act as a natural ladder. You can also set them on the leaves around the tree to create natural camouflage.

If you're playing a multiplayer game with friends, this can be a particularly enjoyable, and achievable project, with each house creating a beautiful Ewok-like village in the end!



3. Leaf House



Is your home not able to get to look right, hanging to the edge of a tree? Instead of trying to squeeze your home inside a box, place your home's base in the tree's leaves. Using Shears to gather leaves from trees around and create an encircling of leaves over the ones that naturally grow on the trees.

As a hint, turn your graphic settings from fancy to Fast and the leaves will no longer be translucent, meaning any structures beneath the leaves will be completely invisibly.

With the Nether growing forests as of late it is possible to take advantage of the new leafy real estate to build a home up high in the deep down below. You could lose your home if you use blocks that are exclusive to the Nether such as Crimson Blocks or Netherrack.
