Merchandise has been a big deal for Silent Hill since it first hit the PlayStation in 1999. It was a big part of the experience when it came out and was a big hit with fans. The t-shirt in the top picture is just one of many items that were handed out at the launch event in France. Other items included figma action figures, statues and a replica of the dog and control board.
It's not surprising to see merchandise from Silent Hill pop up at events. It's been a long time since fans last got their hands on a new game, and they've been waiting for new content to come out. Konami's John McKellen, who's also a creative director, talked up some other projects in development, including a "quite dark horror game" based on the Silent Hill series.
There's no doubt that the biggest attention was paid to Silent Hill 2. The game is getting a remake, so it will be interesting to see how it does. Silent Hill 2 was a big hit for Konami, so they have big shoes to fill for the remake. They've also announced a new interactive show called Silent Hill Ascension, where you'll get to play as one of the characters. You'll also be able to shape the game's canon.

As the name suggests, the LDD stands for Living Dead Doll, and it's a pretty impressive statue. It's 10 inches tall, and features five points of articulation. It's also packaged in a specially die cut window box. It's also limited to 250 pieces worldwide, so you better hurry if you want to get your hands on one. It's also the most expensive item in the shop, at about Y$42,000!
