Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Game Series is an episodic game series that is a narrative-driven adventure set in Minecraft's world of blocks and coming to PC, Mac, mobile devices and what Mojang calls "Xbox consoles" and "PlayStation consoles." The game's storyline is unique and is influenced by the choices made by players, similar to Telltale's Tales from the Borderlands or Game of Thrones or The Wolf Among Us. Telltale claims that the Telltale game series will combine familiar characters and new themes to create an entirely new Minecraft experience. Mojang offers a little more information about how it approaches story on its blog: "We're not intending on making an official story for Steve or describing the world of Minecraft in depth. It's going to be a fun video game.
