Known as slaak kin baeng, Thailand's official national lottery is one of only two forms of legal gambling in the country. It generates significant revenue for the country. In addition to generating revenue, it also supports the Thai Red Cross.

Thailand's lottery is organized by the Government Lottery Office. หวยลุงหวัง are sold through retailers and brokers, who sell them to national wholesalers. It is legal for people to play the lottery, but the government has strict rules.

The lottery draws on the first and 16th of each month. The winner of the lottery will need to visit the Government Lottery Office (GLO) in Bangkok to claim their prize. In addition to the prize, winners will have to pay a withholding tax. The withholding tax is equal to one percent of the prize money. If the prize money is greater than 20,000 baht, the winner will receive it in a check from the Krungthai Bank.

To play, players select six digit numbers that have a chance to match the last two digits of the jackpot number. The prize money is distributed in three prize tiers. The smallest prize is awarded to 10,000 lucky ticket holders.
