We are not talking about a whole new car makeover. Although sometimes this is also necessary, (and cheaper than buying a new car) that is not the subject matter for now. There are so many things that can be done to make your car beautiful; and there are cheap, affordable options for everyone. Then, there are some things that need to be done; to keep your car working beautiful. Fine, you might not be willing to buy all types of accessories, but, there are certain things that need to be maintained in order that your car does not turn into a heap.

"Pick a part" type auto parts businesses tend to work with salvage and insurance companies to get choice wrecks, and while you probably wouldn't go there to get an RX-7 door panel, they are perfect spots to find interior RX-7 parts and engine parts. Used auto parts that come from "pick a part" yards are usually pretty cheap because you are doing the finding and removing of the part all by yourself. Again, this is recommended only if you really know what you're doing. A mechanic who works with cars every day can spot a useful part from a throw away, can you?
Most auto salvage yards buy cars for cash either to crush for scrap metal or to dismantle and sell the parts off the cars. Depending on the yard, they may be more focused on pushing out mass amounts of volume of scrap metal, while other yards main priority may be to buy junk cars to dismantle and sell the parts.
Over the years, I learned another little handy trick that seems to help when it comes to saving money on parts for my car. You know all of those old "buy here, pay here" car lots? Well, if you run into one that is locally owned, you may get a little deal on any spare parts that they have laying around. Many times, these spare parts are just lying around and cannot be used for anything in the lot. The owners of these little side car dealerships love to make a fast buck and are often more than willing to part with a few vehicle parts to make some fast cash.

Unfortunately though, like all cool toys they were very expensive and reserved for wealthy families. Children from families with less money would have ride on toys, usually not pedal powered.
