Minecraft builds are a large component of the experience for the community in the game that everyone loves to punch down trees. There are many incredible things to witness, from the practical such as this YouTuber who has turned Pac-Man into a horror show and the more traditional such as these stunning Civilisation VI cutscene replications. While many of these are just unbound creativity, occasionally Mojang has competitions that inspire players.

The most recent build challenge was about Star Wars, with Mojang challenging players to create incredible objects from the universe of Jar Jar Binks with blocks. Ashwood was awarded the prize for his design of the Vuutun Palaa (a Lucrehulk Class battleship which was in charge during the Naboo invasion in Episode 1) The secretly most acclaimed Star Wars film.

Ashwood, who goes under Gumliii in Reddit Ashwood, who is Gumliii on Reddit, said that the build does not have an interior at the moment however they are looking into it. Gumliii has made several Star Wars-themed models, which you can see on their Planet Minecraft Page. They also posted a comment saying that they'll be uploading this one there so that you can download it and play with it. It's got a diameter of around 1,300 blocks, and the maximum height limit is 383 block. It's big.

The other entries to the contest include some stunning cityscapes and an homage to famous battles and models as well. You might be wondering how they put these things together. Many of the larger ones use plugins such as WorldEdit to make things easier. Gumliii worked for two weeks on it. It's still a massive effort even with the plugins.

I won the Star Wars Build Contest with this Lucrehulk Battleship! from Minecraft

This Lego-built Minecraft piston is a great illustration of the complexity of builds. Editum It moves but they didn't design Redstone work which is the most impressive part.
