MIMIC (TOUCH)
Cost: 3 energy
Call: “Mimic <power>”
The caster counts as having the chosen power on her character sheet for the next 10 minutes, provided the target has it listed on his character card as a gift and it is not a corrupt power. If the target does not have the power listed on his character sheet as a gift, he states “no effect”. Only one power may be mimicked at a time. If this power is resisted, the caster believes the target does not have the power mentioned.
Addendum (12/11/13)
You may not use mimicked powers as requirements to cast rituals.

FAQ

Can you Mimic a power from someone else who has Mimiced it?

No. While Mimic itself reads “The caster counts as having the chosen power on her character sheet,” it isn’t actually on the original sheet. Just like how you cannot use a Mimiced power to meet ritual requirements.

Can you use Mimic to copy Meld and then use it? Would you still be forced out of game for at least four hours?

Yes, and yes. As long as the one minute of standing still for Meld is completed before the 10 minutes of Mimic pass. The Mimicer may also stay out of game for longer than four hours, but after they return to game they would have to Mimic Meld again to use it again.

If you Mimic Mask of a Thousand Faces, does it last beyond the 10 minutes of Mimic?

No. After the 10 minutes of Mimic ends, the Mask effect ends.

Effect Type

As per the Core Rules..

TOUCH
Touch powers are delivered by a single sig call (no counting) and a touch of the hand. The effect length is determined by the power, though many happen instantaneously. Touch powers can be resisted by spending a willpower and saying “resist”.
