Summon Spirit
Type: Glyph Rite
Casting Requirements: Theurge 1 and Rituals 2
Rarity: Common
Summary: Request the audience of a spirit.
Cost: Variable (see Instructions)
Components: 3x5 card (OOG)
Special: Additional characters with Gnosis pools may participate in this ritual. Non-Theurge characters may only cast/participate in one Summon Spirit ritual per event.

Special Instructions: It is highly recommended you fill out the Spirit Summoning form provided by the STs at least two weeks before the event you wish to cast the ritual. Doing so, you may forgo casting the ritual during event. After filling out the form, turn in a 3x5 to ST with the information listed below at the beginning of event. All participants begin game with their current energy pool reduced by the amount contributed to the ritual.

Instructions: 1. Spend 60 seconds drawing the glyphs on this scroll and giving praises to the spirit you are calling.

2. Incant: “<spirit name or type> I call for your aid.”

3. Participating characters pay any amount of Gnosis. The greater the energy paid, the more powerful a spirit is called. More energy does not ensure a greater likelihood of the spirit arriving, just how powerful a spirit can be requested. Non-Theurges may contribute no more than 5 energy.

4. Turn in a 3x5 card to ST camp with the following information: caster and participating character names, amount of energy spent in casting the ritual, spirit name or type (known IG), and purpose of summoning spirit.

Effects: ST may send out the spirit you requested, a proxy for that spirit, or nothing at all. In general, every 5 points of Gnosis will increase the category of spirit summoned by one step. However, exceptions may be made for powerful spirits connected to small or restricted tribes. If no spirit has arrived within an hour of turning in the 3x5 card, you can assume the ritual failed.
