I met a family recently who were living on a gorgeous, crystal-clear lake and enjoying every day, catching fish right off their deck or scrambling down a swim ladder whenever the urge struck to go for a splash. The man of the family built their wonderful house boat pretty much by himself - despite, as he explained, never having completed anything before, except for a birdhouse he built as a kid in summer camp!

Properly inspecting the boat is the number one way to safeguard your hard earned money. First remember that this is a used boat and will have some normal wear and tear involved. Look it over carefully and start inspecting the Hull. Look for different colored paint or recently new paint. Look for signs of previous accidents. If you find an area on the hull which looks different than the rest, inspect it more carefully. The best way is by listening carefully as you tap it lightly with a small rubber hammer. What you are listening for is anything which sounds different than the normal solid sound.

The extreme nature lovers can visit the Pykara Falls to explore the galore of Ooty. You can ride in the boathouse in the lake and can also turn towards eating up in the restaurants near by the waterfall. This Ooty Lake is artificial and not natural but still offers ultimate recreational adventures.

2nd place went to Todd Castledine of Nacogdoches who caught a three day total of 40 pounds, 8 ounces. Mr. Castledine used a watermelon Zoom Super Fluke over rocks and a blue Texas-rigged Kicker Craw while site fishing to catch his bass.

Many people who want to buy a boat do not know where to begin. If you have never had too much experience around boats, then the thought of buying one can be overwhelming. I would recommend studying up on the subject before you start looking for the perfect boat, so you don't end up with the wrong fit for your family.

As you are searching for the boat, you may also want to search for a good boat repair company. You may want to have someone at this disinterested company look over any boat that you would like to purchase, just as you would for a car. This step will also create a friendly business relationship with the repair man. This relationship will be profitable in the future for both maintenance and repairs on the boat. Remember that your boat will need routine maintenance in the fall so that it can be stored safely over the winter. There are many steps that need to be completed before you "put the boat to bed" for the winter.

Some rental agencies allow pets on the houseboats, others don't. Some will let pets travel free of charge, others will add an additional security deposit or a small fee.

Off in the distance, purple and white electricity dances in the form of silent heat lightning. Twinkling, white Christmas lights ride the perimeter of the historic inn, strung along the full length of the eaves. The blue-tinted haze of half-watched TV screens smolders from the windows of overnight rooms, where adventure-weary travelers drift off toward dreams.

When inspecting a sailboat boots you will need to check all areas inside and outside the boat. Some things to be checked are more important than others. Things such as paint and carpeting are minor but you should still check them. Paint that is fading or chipping is an indication that a paint job will be needed soon. Carpet that is moldy should be replaced by the owner. You should also check all of the lights outside and inside to see if they are working properly.

7:00am, Sunday: My lady wakes and heads up to the deck to get in a half-hour of yoga practice in this idyll. I join her a short while after, and Ma and Pa soon emerge having slept peacefully all night. Pa and me are, as usual, a little sunburned. We sit for a while in silence, waking up in the calm current lapping against the shore and the floating reeds drifting lazily down river.
