Every state and town has at least a salvage yard where useful parts of dilapidated vehicles are salvaged for re-use. Most of the parts would be non-functional. But even the most dilapidated vehicles have a usable part either on the inside or on the outside.
It seems to be a bit absurd to have all of these websites featuring multiple Yamaha ATV parts at significant savings. It's a mad grab for the best price with the most significant savings. I have been going through a lot of these sites looking for great deals. I prefer to do this instead of going to dealerships and sell car looking for the best deals. I would rather go to a specialist site than have to deal with Amazon or eBay although those sites are options to consider. My personal experience has shown me that I have had better luck dealing with specialist sites. The reason is because I can ask questions when dealing with a knowledgeable sales person. As a sports junkie I have a lot of specific questions.
One outlet for used car parts is the local newspaper's classified section. Run an ad and see what happens. Selling parts from your car isn't going to make you a lot of money, but it beats just leaving them on the car as it's towed to the junkyard. You can also sell your car parts by word of mouth. You never know what can happen.
Make an appointment -- If a salvage yard makes an acceptable offer for your vehicle, then make an appointment to drop it off. If it isn't drivable, the yard may send out a tow truck to take it away. A car that has to be towed will be worth less as it will cost the salvage yard more money to obtain your vehicle. If your car is not drivable, but can be pulled to a salvage yard, then consider doing the job yourself.
Being a popular brand means that the salvage yards are full of Audi spares. It also means that local auto parts stores will either carry the parts in stock, or have the ability to order what ever parts you might need.
Aftermarket car parts come in two variations. The first is simply a generic form of the OEM part, much like generic pharmaceuticals compared to name brands. The second is an accessory for a car such as cold air intake systems for the engine, racks to carry bikes and so on. There isn't much debate that this second form of aftermarket car parts is fine, but the first variation is the area where contention starts.
