'He was saying, Oh my God, oh my God, my fiancée, there's blood… but he was completely calm. And the dispatcher keeps asking him to describe what's happening and he's spending all this time telling them how he'd been to the gym and come back…

Sarah Tew/CNET There's no question that the Oculus Quest is the best overall VR headset you can buy today. With about the same resolution as the first wave of PC-tethered VR headsets like the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive but completely self-contained and wireless, the Quest is fun, easy to use and painless to set up. In fact, it's complete portable -- you can use it anywhere. While you can get the 64GB version for $399, you might want to spend an extra $100 for the 128GB version, which holds a lot more games. Unfortunately, there's a worldwide shortage of Quests right now, but perhaps they'll be back in stock by the time you get your refund check. Read our Oculus Quest review.

Nothing says "home theater" like a (very) big flatscreen TV. The TCL 65-inch 6 Series 4K UHD Roku TV, called 65R625 by its friends, is one of the most impressive 65-inch sets in its (or any) price range. With superb brightness and color handling, 120 distinct contrast zones and excellent motion handling, this is the TV to beat. And it has Roku's terrific smart TV features as well. Read our TCL 6-Series (2019 Roku TV) review.

On Monday, insisted she's appreciative for the time she shares with her loved ones, the actress, 57, captioned the images, captured by photographer Brian Bowen Smith from a car: 'Thankful to be with family today (and every day): @brianbowensmith #bbsdrivebys.' [sic]

But Ellen had been alone and the door locked from the inside. There was no other way in or out, no sign of struggle and she had no defensive wounds. Police said suicide. The next day the medical examiner ruled homicide.

Aluminum pieces are typically less expensive, for example, but they're also less durable for cooking. Stainless steel can withstand heavier use, but it costs more and isn't as great at conducting heat while cooking (which is why stainless-steel pans often have an aluminum core). And pans with a non-stick coating can make clean up easier.

I looked up the Creations Elite, and it appears to come with a 48-ounce container, not the 64-ounce one that's included here. So, yeah: I'm confused. Maybe the bases are all the same, but the included accessories vary a bit?

In my younger days I spent many a happy hour building bases, managing resources and launching attacks in the various Command & Conquer games. (Followed by plenty of unhappy minutes watching my enemies wipe everything out; I was never very good at real-time strategy.)

Sarah Tew/CNET For many audiophiles, the holy grail is a high-quality multiroom system. With speakers in every room, you can play music wherever you like, whenever you like. Sonos is the gold standard in multiroom audio. Equipped with a Sonos system, you can play the same or different audio in every room from streaming services or your personal collection. For less than $500, the Move is a fully portable Bluetooth speaker with 10-hour runtime that's also a Sonos component. That means you can add the versatile Move to an existing Sonos network or use it as the cornerstone of a Sonos multiroom system that's handy as a portable speaker right from Day 1. Richard Petty Driving Experience What's the fastest you've ever driven? If it's under 100 mph, you owe it to yourself to hop in a NASCAR race car and power through the curves of a local race track under the supervision of a racing instructor. The Richard Petty Driving Experience has a slew of options, starting with five minutes of track time for $200, but going all the way up to 48 minutes on the track for about $2,000.

D'Andrea contacted Tom Brennan, the state police veteran turned Criminal Investigative Analyst working pro-bono for the Greenberg family and told him that they needed to hire their own neuropathologist.

Want to try them for yourself? For a limited time, CDKeys has Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collect for $5.19. That nets you a whopping 17 games, including my all-time favorite, Generals. Note that you'll need an EA Origin account and the Origin desktop client in order to play the games.

'It's been really funny having both my parents at the this house where they, like, raised us,' Scout explained as first reported in Us Weekly. 'It's kind of divine time to just hang out with them. … I'm very grateful to be with my family.'
