Replacing spark plugs is not difficult, if they are located in a place on your engine block where you have enough room to reach them with a socket wrench. I usually start by taking out the first plug on the left side of the engine block. The spark plug wire is carefully removed. Then I put the socket wrench over the spark plug and turn the wrench counter clockwise until the plug comes loose.
Before you get down to finding a scrap yard, there are things you must do to ensure that you squeeze out the last bit of profit you can make out of your scrap car. After all, why let some one else profit out of your car, if there is any money in the car it is only fair that you should make it. Scrap car yards have no requirement for anything that is not metal, they want only metal and anything else will only bring down the money you make out of it. So before you send your car over to the yard you should dismantle it and remove everything that is not metal. They also have a full database which makes it much easier, and quicker to locate parts than at a dealership. Even if they don't have the part you need, they can get it to you pretty quickly.

The best way to get ready for the rehabbing business is to grab a cup of coffee on Saturday mornings (even before you pickup a property) and head out to the salvage yard, builders' surplus store, car scrap yard and your mega home improvement store. Sniff around these places so you know what things cost. This will go a long way in helping you prepare budgets that are dead on that will have you smiling when you look at your bottomline.
These are the general tactics you want to use anywhere. Watch for businesses that are closing down or ones that are just moving into a building. Be sure to check estate and yard sales for unwanted items, and be sure to ask if there's anything they're getting rid of that isn't up front for sale. This can lead to broken items like extension cords, lawnmowers, etc... Many people don't realize these items still have value and are glad just to be rid of them. Post an ad in the local paper and on Craigslist. Like I said before, the people who know your name, the better your business will be.
