Oracles Guild

"I am a spider in the web of Fate. You are a fly, caught in it. I walk along the strands, untouched. You are bound. The more you struggle, the worse it will be."

The oracles guild as one might expect, is made of those individuals whose gifts allow them to peer into the future and see things for what they truly are, or will be. There are many different styles of divination that are practiced by the guild, and they vary greatly with it's members. Augury, speaking in tongues, visions, chanting, tarot cards, odds reading, dice throwing, and bone casting, are all just some of the examples it's members practice. It is said that fates marks those it who are destine for it's service, and the Lady of fate or even some higher power dictates the guilds orders.

The oracles are one of the oldest guilds in Stygia, the foundational structure dating back to early greek periods. Many would pay handsomely for advice and council from an oracle, and even more so to have their visions translated to something more commonly understandable.

The arts of Fatalisim include Sense Faction, Umbral Sight, and Cloak Sight. Shadow Accord possesses no method for divining the future, and as such the powers of this tree focus on the oracles talents of seeing things as they truly are. This however, should not stop the player from coming up with their own divination method and playing out visions, portents, or other predictions, after all the winds of fate are fickle, and being wrong is by no means impossible even with the help of Arconai.

Note: Using out of game character information or knowledge of future WoD Cannon, is highly discouraged if not outright prohibited.

Some Oracle Archetypes[edit]

Delphics[edit]

Traditional Greek oracles, and the most respected arm of the Guild. These were the first oracles to actively organize themselves effectively in the world of the living.

Augurs[edit]

Considered the most dependable readers of the future, Augurs commonly inspect of the entrails of a sacrifice, especially the livers. Sometimes an especially supernatural sacrifice survives the experience.

Doomsayers[edit]

Doomsayers closely follow the activities of Oblivion in an attempt to warn wraiths that bad things are coming.

Clairvoyant[edit]

These Oracles follow strongly in the pagan traditions of divining. Those recently dead from England tend to fall into this category.
