Sleeping Arrangements

Part of your site fee is that you are guaranteed a place to sleep. We have a site cap to ensure there is adequate space for everyone.

  • This does not guarantee you a bed in a heated building with attached restrooms. A large number of the available beds are in large canvas tents on wooden platforms or in small cabins with screen windows and doors.
  • This does not guarantee you a bed that your character does not have to pay for in-game. Most of the buildings are owned in-game by players. These players then run their homes how they see fit in-game. There are very few beds without some sort of in-game cost of either time or coin. There are currently two in-game inns. One of these inns takes reservations on the forums before game.

A few other things to keep in mind:

  • None of the beds come with sheets or blankets. Bring your own sleeping bag or blankets to ensure you are comfortable for the weekend. Most of our games are in the colder months so you want to be sure to take care of yourself. Do not expect that other players will have things for you to use unless you have made prior arrangements with them.
  • Try to find somewhere character appropriate to sleep first. If you cannot find anyplace, you can let someone with a spare bunk know OOG that you do not have anywhere to sleep. We do not want anyone sleeping in their car. Besides, some really interesting role play may come out of sleeping someplace your character would not ordinarily stay.
  • Players sleep in-game. Our game runs non-stop from Friday night until Sunday afternoon. If you are sleeping, and you should really try to get some sleep over the weekend, you are sleeping in-game and can be woken up or attacked as though you were sitting there awake. There are a few exceptions to this. Some people use powers to sleep out of game. ST and Players of Full-Time NPCs will also typically be sleeping out of game. People sleeping out of game will either be sleeping in one of the OOG tents or will have a 3x5 card on their bunk and will be wearing an orange headband.

More information about the available sleeping accommodations can be found on the website for the camp.
