Elon Musk broke his nine-day Twitter silence to announce a surprise trip to see Pope Francis with four of his seven children - and even joked about his unfit suit.

Musk tweeted on Friday night, "Honored to meet @Pontifex Yesterday." Musk brought five of his teenagers to the meeting at the Vatican in Rome.

His fifth teen, who was previously known as Xavier has announced that she's now a transgender girl named Vivian Jenna Wilson, and that she no longer wishes to be associated with her billionaire father.

Musk also conceded that the black suit his outfit was not befitting of the occasion. He also responded to a Twitter user who mocked his outfit by replying: 'My suit is tragic.'

Musk has previously stated that he is an atheist, so it is unclear why he decided to meet Pope Francis and what the two men talked about.

Vivian was joined by Griffin, Vivian's twin brother and his 16-year-old triplets, Kai, Damian, and Saxon on the trip.

Musk was married to their mother, Canadian author Justine Wilson from 2000 until 2008.

Their first son, Nevada was born in 2002. He died at 10 weeks of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Musk and Wilson had five children: twin sons - Xavier and Griffin 18, 18 - and triplet boys: Damian, Kai and Saxon, now 16.

The tweet on Friday by Elon Musk posted on Twitter showed him with four of his five teens, and an image of them with the Pope.

The five children of the couple have remained away from the spotlight for most of their lives. In 2010, twins Griffin and Xavier who are now Vivian were spotted with Elon, his second wife, Talulah.

He went on to say that things like 'turn the other cheek' are crucial in contrast to 'an eye for an eye'. An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind.

Forgiveness is crucial. Treat people as you would like to be treated. "Love your neighbor as yourself.'

"But Hey, Jesus is saving people, I mean I won't stand in His way.

"Sure, I'll be saved." Why wouldn't I?

Musk's return to Twitter on Friday after a nine-day hiatus was the highlight of Friday's tweets.

He returned with a tribute to the YouTube gamer who died from cancer.

With an image of Sonic the Hedgehog, the picture was captioned: 'Popular Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade with 12 billion subscribers passed away recently at the age of 23 due to cancer, and this made [me] realize that cancer is [an] absurd piece of literal trash and death, but also try to live your best life with people you trust. You would regret not having done things with them later on.

He also posted a photo of him celebrating his 40th birthday in Venice with his then-wife British actress Talulah Riley.

"Venice, a place of Great Remembrance.'

He said, "Feeling... maybe... perhaps a little bored?"
