Gamescom 2022 will feature new information for Minecraft Legends and Sega's Sonic Frontiers and will likely reveal more details about Modern Warfare 2 and Bethesda's forthcoming space RPG Starfield. You can still view the live stream of the opening night hosted by Geoff Keighley from your computer although it's not the first Gamescom live stream since the beginning of 2019. This Just In Here's how you can watch Gamescom 2022.

Gamescom 2022 kicks off August 23. If you're watching from the UK, it begins at 7PM, with viewers from the US East Coast able to watch at 2PM, while those on PT can begin at 11AM.

The most important news that has been confirmed so far is the unveiling of further details and hopefully extra gameplay footage from Sonic Frontiers, but host Geoff Keighley has also confirmed that the Gamescom opening show will feature "30+ games" which means that it's likely there will be more games in 2022 and 2023's biggest games will be teased, too.

Call of Duty: Vanguard has a new gameplay trailer at last year's event, so Modern Warfare 2 seems like an excellent choice for this year. Be sure to check out our guide on the Modern Warfare 2 beta release date and how to play. We may also see FIFA 23, God of War: Ragnarok and the coming survival horror The Callisto Protocol. Our personal most-wanted items include Dead Space, Resident Evil 4's remake, and Starfield. But for the moment, we can only speculate and believe.

The opening ceremony will be streamed live on the official Game Awards YouTube and Twitch channels. Along with the above dates it's worth tuning in an hour early, as previous events have included a pre-show that also, sometimes, includes announcements and brand new gameplay footage. You can still buy tickets from the official website if you intend to travel to Cologne, Germany. Xbox will also have its own stream at Gamescom which is expected to show off Minecraft Legends and A Plague Tale: Requiem. You can watch it on any of the Xbox social channels, including YouTube.

PCGamesN will be live reporting from Gamescom and will bring you every trailer and game when they are revealed. Meanwhile, if you want extra details on some of the biggest coming releases, take a look at our Starfield cities guide, or our list of all the rumors, information, and speculation regarding the possible GTA 6 release date, which we're sure to see sooner rather than later.
