Minecraft is a well-known open-world game that you can play solo or in multiplayer. You'll need to rent or host a server in order to play the game multiplayer. Hosting a server is often cheaper than renting. Here are some tips to help you host your server.

Download the program

You can download the minecraft program from the minecraft website and save it in your computer.

Before you download the program make sure that your computer is compatible. For example, you have to make sure that your computer has a speedy CPU and sufficient RAM.

You need the most recent version of Java to play minecraft. Java is not typically installed on windows computers. You will need to download it from the Java website.

Mac computers usually come with Java pre-installed and usually update automatically. You can download the latest Java version from the Java website in case your Mac does not have it.

Create the program to be used

Once you have downloaded minecraft, you need to prepare it for use. If you're using a Windows computer, you will only need to double-click on the file you saved the program to. Double-clicking will open an interface window that displays an array of messages.

You'll need to create a command line file if you are using a Mac computer. Open TextEdit then select'make plaintext' from the menu for format. Teen

You should then copy the instruction: '#!/bin/bash cd "$(dirname "$0")" exec java -Xmx1G -Xms1G -jar minecraft_server.jar' then save the file in the same file that you had saved the downloaded minecraft.

You can alter the way you wish to play the game

You can do this by accessing the properties file of the server. This can be done with Notepad on Windows or TextEdit in MacOs. You can set the settings according to your preferences and then save the modifications.

If you want to play in survival mode, for example you can leave the game mode setting at "0". However If your intention is to play in the creative mode, you will have to change the game mode to "I".

Decide who has access to the game

In this case, you will only need to edit the white-list file by adding the usernames of every player you like to connect to the server. To save the file, press enter after ever username.

Find your public IP address.

This is the address that you provide to anyone who wants to connect to the server, but they are not within your immediate network. It is easy to find the IP address using an internet search using an argument such "what is my IP address"
