If your car is looking drab on the outside, go ahead and get that makeover. A little paint job can do wonders for an older car. It will make your car look shiny and new. Some people may even ask you when you got a new car. Especially if you get new rear view mirrors too; that will really add to the new look.

Determine Your Need: Every spare part is made for a specific make and model of a BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, etc. It may not be compatible with another make or model. Therefore, wherever you will be buying your auto parts, be specific with your order. Let the dealer know that you need x part for y vehicle of make a and model m. Failure to do this may cause you to regret later on. Once you have defined what you need, we move onto the net stage.

Know what you need to get the part off and take those tools. Take some extra tools, too, so you can take off anything that has to come off to get to your part. You just never know. You can carry your tool box or bag around with you. They don't care.

You need to ask them various questions about the repair shop that they are referring, before you can choose the shop. If your friend says that she likes it because they gave her a waver in her Insurance Deductible, it will be a much weaker reason to choose the shop than if she says that she really loved the work of the shop and her car works great after the repair job.

A good cabin rental will give you a written estimate and will require your signature before getting the job done, especially on major repairs, such as an engine replacement or a major overhaul. With an estimate you may compare the prices by asking other car shops what they would charge. You can give other shops a phone call or visit their websites to do the research to save time. Try also checking the brands and quality of the materials that the repair shop is using for your car. With this, you will already know where to bring your vehicle. To attract more customers, some automotive shops offer a service warranty for a specific period of time. Hold on to this warranty just in case you need it. It will save cost and aggravation if something does break down.

Ask a good car mechanic to check out the condition of the car. Another noteworthy point is that this has to be done in bright daylight. He will be able to tell you whether there is any rust, wielding marks, oil leaks, condition of the tyres, upholstery, seat belts and steering wheel.

2) If possible take a tour-If they will let you, walk around the body shop and talk to the staff members. You can ask them about their experience, how many years they have been working in this field, and you can get a feel from the mechanics if they seem competent and knowledgeable about repairs.

2) TAKE BABY STEPS: There isn't a single strategy that's going to make 'fountains of cash' appear overnight. It's just not going to happen and whenever somebody tells you that 'they can make that happen', don't walk - run! There isn't any single strategy that's going to work. It takes a bunch of little strategies.

Check with the better business bureau for any complaints that have been lodged against the shop. Also find out if they were solved to the satisfaction of the customer. Another place to get more information is the internet. There are several sources that will review or comment on shops.
