Minecraft Adds an Option to Create Characters

Minecraft players have more control over the appearance of their avatars. The beta version of Minecraft includes a character creator which lets you alter your body shape, skin tone and hairstyle and eyes and facial hair. You can select from more than 100 items as well as other items designed by the Minecraft team are available for purchase.



The beta is only available on Xbox One, Windows 10 and Android for now. Once the beta ends it will be available in Minecraft Earth and Bedrock versions and also iOS and Nintendo Switch. You can still make custom skins on Windows 10 or mobile.



The customization option is a great feature of the game. It follows an extensive line (such as many RPGs) that lets players personalize their characters in any way they like. Other games like Fortnite have custom-designed character items for sale too. While Minecraft has been selling community-created textures and skins for a few years but it's still fascinating to see the developers selling their own virtual goods.
