Are you looking for the Hogwarts map in Minecraft? You may have seen the huge Harry Potter Minecraft map mod that was released as an playable alpha version earlier this year. The one that recreates the Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a massive map and RPG game inside the vanilla version of Mojang's block building. This map is created by The Floo Network, a modding group that has created this impressive and huge creation. They also announced the Minecraft Hogwarts map's launch on Planet Minecraft. "Hello everyone! Prepare your wands! We are finally releasing our brand new map; an interactive RPG that runs in vanilla Minecraft!" the post announces, alongside the reveal of its new 'download trailer that you can watch below.
The title of the creation, 'Witchcraft and Wizardry – The Floo Network' doesn't do justice the value it offers. As you can see in the clip below, every one of the famous elements of Hogwarts and the world of the Harry Potter books are represented faithfully brick-by-brick. There are pictures of Hogwarts' enormous, labyrinthine network of halls, dungeons, classrooms and towers, filled with obstacles, puzzles and, well, magic from the series' universe. We're not sure if there is a Minecraft Hogwarts Seed that will magically recreate the Hogwarts experience. How do I get the Hogwarts Map in Minecraft
Planet Minecraft has a map of The Floo Network's Minecraft Hogwarts. You can download it here. It's worth noting, the creators of the map advise Witchcraft and Wizardry is currently only available on the Java Edition of Minecraft (versions 1.16 to 1.16.4).
If you're running Bedrock Edition that's available on PC and Mac, you won't be allowed to play this version.
Harry Potter Minecraft features
You might be wondering where you can go in this Minecraft Hogwarts Map. You can explore the beautiful suburban street of Privet Drive, as well as the entirety of Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. There is a massive banquet packed with delicious food and candles suspended as if by magic when you enter its rooms. You will also find a variety of staircases and hallways that are decorated with artwork of famous students and libraries stuffed with towering bookshelves.
You can also cast spells with your magic weapon, explore dungeons with magic challenges, shop with friends in Diagon Alley, and even meet the terrifying Dementors and Cornish Pixies. MINECRAFT SERVERS Quidditch is also available!
The map has been updated to include a complete RPG storyline, including all the Harry Potter trimmings you might expect. Everything from purchasing your first wand, schoolbooks and robes in Diagon Alley to learning your first flight lesson at Hogwarts. We won't give away any major story surprises however, we will mention that you might need to cast a Patronus Charm in order to ward off any evil spirits lurking in the darkness.
The most exciting part is that you can find Hagrid, Minecraft Hogwarts' favorite half-giant, assisting with his gamekeeping duties. "Thank you for all your kind words and support throughout this project," the creators say in the mod's Discord server. "This map took several years to complete, and without your encouragement and support from you that we received, we would not have made it this far. We are delighted to present the final map to you!
