Painfully transformed into hideous creatures by the Embrace, the Clan of Whispers reminds all Cainites of the monster that lurks within them. Nosferatu embrace from the lepers, the homeless, and those already forgotten by the world. On occasion, an especially cruel Nosferatu will embrace someone of privilege and beauty out of twisted spite. Wherever they are from, the Nosferatu who survive learn to be resilient, tough, and resourceful. The Nosferatu are the spymasters of the dead, collecting information and selling it for a dear price. They are also the masters of the underground, living in dark alleys and aqueducts. Some of the Lepers are known for their embrace of Christianity and redemption. The Nosferatu of the Middle East (called Bay't Mutasharid) flourished well. They eagerly embraced Islam in hope of ridding themselves of their monstrous nature.
