One Person Killed Two Injured At Mirage Hotel On Las Vegas Strip
One person has been killed following a shooting at 3,000-room resort hotel The Mirage on the Strip.
Police believe one p and dozens of police officers had swooped on the scene.
Officers from the Las Vegas Metro Police could be seen hurriedly walking through the gaming floor of the hotel following reports of a shooting on the eighth floor of the 3,000 room hotel
Hotel guests were left standing around after being told that the place was going into lockdown
Dozens of police vehicles were seen gathering outside the hotel on the Las Vegas strip
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police asked people to avoid the area.
'We are investigating a shooting in a hotel room at the Mirage,' Metro police tweeted shortly after 10pm
'One person has been pronounced deceased. This is an active investigation and we will provide more information as it becomes available. Please avoid the area.'
In one clip posted online, police and security personnel could be seen walking hurriedly through the gaming area of the hotel while guests could still be seen sitting at the slot machines, seemingly unaware of what was unfolding around them.
