Visit your local mustang parts. There you can buy things at scrap prices, even if the item you buy is still useful. I know someone who buys power equipment at scrap prices, fixes them up and then sells them or uses the renewed equipment for trading with friends and neighbors for things he wants.

Used RC cars for sale can certainly be found at hobby stores, but you might also be able to find exceptional deals by scouring the local newspaper, Craigslist or at community yard sales. These latter ideas are a great source of cars at huge discounts. Chances are the car will be almost like new as well since many people buy new cars and never quite get into the hobby. If you can do some research before you buy, it will help your search as you will have at least some basic knowledge of what you are looking to find.

Shop around. There is a ton of money to be saved on your parts if you are willing to shop around. If you are buying from a dealer then it is a good idea to tell them if you have found the part cheaper, they will usually be more than willing to give you a better price.

Make a chart of the names and phone numbers of each auto parts store in your area. Call and get prices. It does not take long to get prices. Most of the stores will get you a price on the parts you need within minutes. Make sure you are comparing the auto parts properly. In other words, compare the same quality. I like to buy USA made parts as much as possible. It pays to get good quality when it comes to fixing your vehicle.

But if you think you're alone in this... you're not! You only need to take a ride through any neighborhood and you'll find at least a few houses that have the same predicament as you. They've got an old clunker that's sitting in their driveway, taking up space, and they don't know what to do with it either.

About half of them were already buyers that heard the program was going to start, so they just waited until it began and then took advantage of the program to get their share of the "FREE" tax dollars. They just took their older clunkers in, got their allowed amount for the trade and went merrily on their way.
